Has anyone heard any estimated timing for when this will be resolved for new orders? Thanks.

 

I am experiencing some problems with the timing of my order as well. I get the strong feeling that the UK factory is swamped with orders. I know May production is full now, and June being filled presently. I think various dealers are giving different reasons for the delay - such a Black Roof and Caps (my reason so I am told), now HK stereo upgrades, maybe the fuel pump gasket problem. I don't think the dealers really know what is going on, so just give various reasons. I think the new F56 is in hot demand, and it will take a while to sort out.

 

The HK delay has been going on since march. My MA gave me a letter explaining their plan.

My MA in the Bay Area is restricted from placing an order with the Harman speakers until at least June -- although I requested the Fully Loaded package (which has priority per the Mini bulletin posted, the quota have been fulfilled already. I think the Mini bulletin indicates dealers are given a lot of information.

My MA had the same info when I ordered. They were able to get the HK added to my order manually.

Of course, also having the contrasting roof on my order means I have no idea when I'm going to be getting it.

 

I dropped the HK upgrade but managed to sneak in my black roof before they ran into problems.

 

before you drop the HK, bring your ipod to a dealer and listen to it....its worth waiting for imho

I would say this.. If you like music and want a better system I also would wait until the HK system is back in stock.. I personally love my music and a good sound system to jam out too.. Once you order it with out it im sure you will regret it.. If you could careless about a good sound system then carry on with your order! Ive always loved the HK upgrade..good luck!

I can attest to how good the HK system is. I'm really glad I ordered it. One of the best sounding audio systems I've had. The only other option I'd recommend is going with a good aftermarket audio system.

 

My experience with disassembling MINI interiors is that you'll end up with lots of rattles by doing an aftermarket install. When I wrapped my R56 in vinyl I never could get rid of the rattles caused by me removing the interior pieces.
