US Configurator Interior Question

Can anyone identify this interior on the US MINI web configurator? (Thank you, Motoringfile, for the picture!) Obviously, they're sport seats. The material is described as cloth and leatherette, but I don't see anything that matches it on the MINI site.

The configurator has 3 leatherettes - Carbon Black, Black Pearl, and Diamond Black, and none of the pictures associated with those descriptions match this picture.

Thanks.

That's the black pearl option. I sat in the different seats and i plan to order that option as well. The leather and leatherette makes my back hot. Those are cloth for most of the seating area and it seems to be more breatheable. Also it looks like you can still get them with the heated seats option so cooler in summer and warm in winter!

That appears to be the exact same configuration I have, you weren't in Plano were you? Its the Black Pearl cloth/leatherette sport seats with the MINI Yours Interior Style Off-White option. I really like the cloth/leatherette seats so far.

These seats look a LOT darker on the configurator than in real life. This is what they look like in the car we drove recently. I like the seats a lot.

Had meant to reply sooner - the picture is from MotoringFile's launch collection of pix. About half way into the collection.

The only potential issue I can see with the seats is that the thread is pretty large and there might be potential issues with pulls if your clothing catches on it.

It didn't stop me from ordering them because they're gorgeous.

Are you sure there shouldn't be a 1 in front of those numbers? That's ridiculously cheap.

Those are the prices listed on the MINI USA configurator.

The Double Stripe Cloth seats don't have any Leatherette like the $750 Black Pearl seats.

Anthracite Headlining, JCW Steering Wheel and Sport Seats (in Cooper) are normally $250 options, so you're saving $50 on each of those and getting the pedals, shift **** and door sills for free

That's one heck of a deal.

I see that a couple of new packages have been also added.

The JCW interior package looks great and I've added that option on each of my fantasy builds so far. I love the look of that double stripe cloth and the rest is almost just a bonus! I'd love to get to see that in person, or at least see real photos of it soon.

I have driven a car with those seats. I bet it would be cooler than the base leatherette but the scratchiness might be a bad thing. Plus over time I could see it really wearing down...not for me

Especially if driving in the nude, I guess. Leatherette never a problem for me unless I just finished mowing the yard.

Unless you want the standard Leatherette seats, the JCW Interior Package can be ordered with any other upholstery option.

If you're planning on ordering the Anthracite Headliner and JCW Steering Wheel and want anything other than the standard seats, this package is a no brainer ... unless you're adverse to ...

Yeah, this is one of the best package deals. I kind of like the standard leatherette seats and have always had that in my MINI's, but it's worth getting this for all the other stuff. MINI tends to have pretty high quality cloth seats anyway from what I've heard. If you are already adding sport seats on a Cooper anyway, you are only paying $350 for everything else! But now I've seen actual pics of them (other than the little bit in the configurator), they look amazing! Love the white stitching. This combined with the MINI Yours off white interior and a Pepper White/Black looks really sharp and currently my #1 configuration!

Thanks much for the info re the JCW interior. I had never really given it a look, thinking that it was an over-priced collection of things that I'd never justify. But it is a nice package, reasonably priced, with things that I'd actually like! And those seats are nice. I don't know that I'd seen them before.

Thanks again!
