F55/F56 Driver Assist Pack?
#26
I ordered on the belief that my car would include these features if it was fully loaded (in my case, I only omitted the chrome line exterior)...so I am disappointed US cars aren't getting a feature that UK cars are.
Despite this, I love the way I optioned the car and can't wait to drive her soon. I suppose I can live with all but two features I wanted.
Perhaps a retrofit could be possible one day, if wiring looms are also universal?

1) the driver assist package will not be realistically retrofittable; between the new windshield, the camera, the sensors, the wiring and on and on you are looking at probably $5,000-$10,000.
2) The driver assist pack does not include the park assistant, or the reaview camera or the HUD. The wired upgrade pack (which requires the wired pack-essentially the nav and armrest) gives you the HUD and rearview camera which are both also stand alone options assuming you have the wired pack. The park assistant (where the car parks itself and includes front park sensors as well as the stand alone optional rear park sensors) is part of the parking assistant package. Do not confuse the features/packages. The US website says nothing about the driver assist pack albeit the US press release mini put out saying that tech was coming to america soon (2015 likely). The driver assist pack uses 1 camera to control the adaptive cruise, collision mitigation, auto high beams, and road sign recognition. In BMWs they use a camera for all those features except for the adaptive cruise which uses a more expensive radar system.
Hope this clarifies a few things..
