Stripes

Will order S Sport Pkg incl: 17" Cosmos wheels, LED Lights and
Stripes .
My lady likes NO Stripes, I like stripes, especially since they come with the Sport Pkg.

If I choose to not like the stripes after delivery, can I easily remove them?

I hope you can talk her into keeping the stripes. The 'S' looks a bit naked without them IMO. On the regular Cooper, yes, but on the 'S' they just seem like they belong. JMO.

I've not tried it but I've read several times that they are easy to remove with just a conventional hair dryer. Instead, try and convince here they are "tradition"!!

Tell your lady that the stripes have been scientifically proven to increase visibility and make the car safer for her - your precious cargo ;-)

This is to be her toy
If it were my toy she would not care, in fact she would encourage me
to choose what I like.
I, however thought, if the stripes came with the package ....
why not see therm in real-time.
No like??
Heat em'off.
She's not buying into that.
She wants a clean Pepper White.
She doesn't even want the yellow indicator in the headlights.
But....
She is seriously considering a a 6 speed manual
instead of the Auto..... BRAVO.
No stripes and a Manual, I'm game.

Easy to remove. Some use the light heat from a hair dryer and say its easy. Don't deny yourself the stripes.

This is good news about the removal of the stripes. I ordered them and it's too late to change it but realized I would much rather prefer the sport stripes (the ones that are closer together and go down the middle, and can be had on the boot as well)

How durable are the stripes? I guess special care when you wax/polish the hood, but are the stripes known to last for years?

The sun/weather will be the biggest deterrent to longevity.
Since they are vinyl, they can be easily replaced

Is it really worth arguing with her? It's going to be her car, she doesn't like stripes. The end.

They can always be added later if she changes her mind.

The stripes come with the Sport Pkg.
We are ordering the Sport Package.
Much cheaper and easier to take them off than add them later.

There is NO argument
Healthy, fun, light hearted discussion.

Much of the fun of a new Mini is designing the format.
Informed discussion perpetuates satisfactory decisions.
The original question was ,"Are the stripes easily removed?".
Simple.

Anticipation is a greater part of realization.

Still doesn't change the fact that she doesn't want them, lol.

Leave the car in the sun and they peel right off once you get a corner of one started

Easier to get them and take them off as she may decide she likes them after all. Nothing ventured ....nothing gained.
