Actually, it won't be on it's way on the transport until Wednesday or Thursday.

I knew my MINI arrived at the New Jersey port this morning, but didn't quite expect the update I just got from the great MINI Hot Line folks. My MINI was offloaded from the Grand Pioneer this morning and is being processed. I was told the projected delivery date to my dealer is FRIDAY! Wow, I wasn't expecting it that fast. So if all goes well, I'll be cruising the streets of central Connecticut Saturday. I am so psyched!

 

I talked to my MINI dealer last night. He told me that my MINI will indeed be delivered on Friday, and I'll be able to pick it up Monday morning.

 

Slip him a 20 and maybe you can play w/ it on the weekend.

I thought about trying to get an expedited pickup. Might be worth a shot once I verify it has actually been delivered. Especially if that ends up being Thursday.

 

Hire a private eye and have him tail the delivery truck, camp out at the dealership and wait for it!

 

i know there are things the dealer does for prep once they receive the car. I have been told this takes a day as well. So just plan for that. Driving it the day it comes off of the truck may not be possible.

 

I got mine last Friday, the same afternoon, as it was delivered earlier that morning. I did not have any dealer installed accessories (except front license plate) so all they had to do was take it out of "travel mode" and do the inspection. They may have a truckload of MINI's. Ask them to put yours at the front of the line Friday, Monday, it will be here soon. Beep Beep!

LOL. Yeah, mine was delivered to my dealer today. I have to call them tomorrow to apply pressure to have it stored indoors for the 3 week hold. Hope yours will be stored indoors. You might want to call your dealer to verify it will.

 

I've already confirmed that it's being stored in a warehouse.

 

That's great! I'm hoping I'll get similar good news. It will at least soften some of the pain of waiting 3 weeks.
