Looks like its just the flextube, yes?

So, if i am looking at this correctly, it looks like the flex pipe is cracking right at the clamp? So, a new flex pipe is needed. Is this a common issue?

Don't know if it is 'common', but that location would be a prime spot for corrosion to occur as it would tend to collect water when not hot enough to boil it off. Looks like you are located in the 'salt belt' up north...like myself. The hope would be just the flex tube has corroded through, but I wouldn't hold my breath for the cat pipe to not be damaged as well. So far (knocking on wood) my '17 has not lost any exhaust components.
