F55/F56/F57 Stock Problems/IssuesDiscussions related to warranty related issues and repairs, or other problems with the OEM parts and software for F55/F56 MINI Cooper AND Cooper S models.
Recently got new front and rear pads for my 2018 F56 S, just done through my dealership as I have both Maintenance Plus (which covers them) and I have a good working relationship with them as well.
At any rate, I got the attached photo on my Check Control. Not a low pad warning, but a mileage estimate for replacing front pads. As I of course don’t need new pads, I’m trying to clear this warning. I tried resetting the CBS on the instrument cluster, and was given a “Reset Unsuccessful” every time. Had the parking brake off as instructed and followed the correct reset procedure. I then tried my Carly scanner but it’s reading my pads as new and not due, so it just resets to new but doesn’t clear the CBS message.
i can always go to my dealership and have reached out to them regarding this, but trying to save a trip if it’s something I can do myself, especially as I previously worked at my store and try to just do the things I can on my own if I can. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
