Have you tried a light buffing compound to see if it will buff out?

 

Actually, the area behind the plate didn't fade, the area to the left and right of it did. The plate kept the middle section from not fading

Polish and wax, you'll be amazed how well it will turn out

 

On my 2014 MCS, that bumper has started to turn from black to an almost purple/black. Of course, my car is parked on the street every day with the bumper facing dead into the afternoon sun.

 

Wrap it in black vinyl, people will never know. Thats what I did to mine

 

My front bumper faded. It was replaced under warranty.

 

How old was your car when they replaced it? Mine is 3 years old bought it recently. It was a lease so it's certified pre-owned and my warranty is 5 years. Just wondering if I might be able to get them to replace it. Looks like ****

 

I just talked to my local dealer and they say it's not covered under warranty which is a bummer cause it looks really bad.
