The guidance lines are not a "green grid" on the OEM camera

Oh I see yeah, I have the little nubs I think, but not full grid lines. I highly doubt this is aftermarket unless they installed the OEM one aftermarket. Because it looks too much like the stock one and is tied to the sensors, I would think this would take a lot of work by a 3rd part manufacturer which I dont see. Makes me wonder if the grid lines can be coded in to the camera, I honestly don't care for the grid it seems like too much overlay on the video, too much to look at.

Looks a lot like results from the retrofit kits sold by Bimmer Tech:

BIMMER Tech sells 3 versions I believe, depending on your car's options. For the OEM, you need iDrive and PDC, and maybe Nav Pro too. I had all that.

I purchased the TadiBrothers backup camera system for the Mini (F56) 2016. I have not installed yet because I'm looking for information on removing the dash. Can't seem to find a good service manual, video, exploded drawings or written instructions. Can't afford to scratch or damage anything since it's the wife's car.

That is the site I am going to get mine from, how is the quality, and did you get the factory style camera?

Thanks for the response. I'll update after I get this thing done. Sounds like there is either a hole to push through/down to release that top flanged center piece or you must come up from underneath it with a j-hook tool ( I ordered the plastic set of dash tools just to be safe $17 on amazon)

I just had mine installed last Saturday at 4x4shop.ca (Markham, Ontario). They installed the back-up camera together with a module that will link to the centre head unit so no additional display is needed.
Like the OEM back-up camera, it also shows the PDC sensor animation side by side with the rear view display.

xentar! nice running into you on this thread too

Which version did you get from them. I was looking into this and definitely want one for my F54 clubby. Unsure if i get NBT or CIC. Did you get the camera from them too?

All service manuals are readily available for all MINI / BMW via ISTA software. PM for details
