Instrument lighting dim during the day

So all of a sudden my instrument lighting will go dim and bright all the while driving around during the daytime. No it's not when I go under a bridge or in a parking garage etc. it is when I am driving in broad daylight.

It is my fuel gauge lights and the infotainment screen.

Anyone else experience this?

Have you tried adjusting the instrument dial dimmer?

It's to the right of your headlight controls

Yes. Turned all the way up. It doesn't stay dim or bright. It will go dim or bright randomly while driving.

I figured you must have checked, but I had to ask!

Very strange...are your lights on AUTO? Maybe try switching them to "0"? Could be a faulty light sensor or bad programming?

Good call there. I will try that. They are on auto.
