Wet Windows

Every time I open the windows in my Cooper S it comes back up wet and dries to a smear making visibility poor. The drivers window is worse than the passenger. Wiping it with a demisting chamois pad makes it worse instead of better.
Does anyone know how I can fix this? Is it a trip to the dealer?

I've noticed mine does that on the inside of the glass. Hmm mines in the shop I'll add that to the list and let ya know if I hear anything.

My car has gone into the dealer today. It was raining when I took it in and dropping the windows results in the inside going back up soaking wet...which dries to a resultant white fog which is hard to see through. They're looking into it (along with all my other issues .... knocking suspension, scraping brakes, paint rubbed off the door pillars)

Update....my dealer is waiting from a response from BMW .... he thinks the weather strips/door seals rubbing the paint are a related problem. He thinks both will need replaced on both doors ..... paint shop for the door frames is obviously on hold until a fix is found.

Ditto - my interior windows get "wet and smeary" from the drips off the A pillar when I open the door.
