I ordered this white line bar from Mini Mania in early June and it arrived last week. I wasn't sure it would fit, but everything went back together and there are no clunks.

Stock vs White line bar.

Install took 2.5 hours, without a lift it would be much harder to do.

Unbolt steering rack and lower the subframe

Steering input feels really good, its much more confident diving into turns. Feels very stable.

Installed bar from wheel well.

Will be back at the track in September for a proper trial.

Why did they send you the version without lateral locks??

As we now know the MINI OEM bars' bushings are bonded to the bars.
When using aftermarket bushings, lateral locks are needed.

Any updates on the lateral locks? Was this a one off? Considering pulling the trigger on ordering, but DEFINITELY not a job I want to do twice :-)

I ordered some Whiteline locks to add to the bar, I'm not sure if mine was wrong or if they changed their design.

The Bar has been sliding .5" side to side, I haven't felt anything but I notice the lubricant was spread when I checked it last weekend.

I assume the OP has the adjustable dampers. Right?

I had the standard dampers, no electronic adjustment.

When you say "unbolt steering rack" did you unbolt it from the steering column, or unbolt from the subframe, and let it hang from the column?

Did you just unbolt the subframe at the rear and tilted it, or unbolt the whole subframe?

You should do a writeup!!

I disconnected the rack from the Sub-Frame, I didn't disconnect the steering column.

I removed the 6? primary bolts from the subframe, but I left the ball joints connected to the knuckles. Doing this allowed me to tilt the frame out of the way.

Wish I captured more photos, I no longer have the car so I'm not able to provide more details.

Isn't the heat shield above the steering rack attached to the subframe?

I didn't think you could remove that without disconnecting it.

Old thread bump...

In the first post, the OP links to a Whiteline front sway bar for his F54. Seems that Whiteline no longer lists a front sway bar for the F54 / F60 chassis. But they do list one for the F56 chassis. Are these interchangeable? Did the OP install an F56 front sway bar to his Clubman?

I am going to answer my own question...

After surfing RealOEM.com, I have come to the conclusion that the front sway bars for 3rd generation vehicles are fully interchangeable. By clicking through the parts catalogs, there are certain sizes that list F56 and F54 as the same bar. And clicking through some more parts pages, the F54 and F60 are listed together. I have no idea what sizes they all are, but they appear to be interchangeable.

I'm going to have to start saving up for some suspension upgrades...

Yes i have the front crossing over F54-F60. But the rears i dont. F54 and F60 share the same rear and look to be exclusive.
