New tires!

I'm at 24,500 miles on my 2017 and the Pirelli run-flats are finally giving up the ghost. I ordered the Michelin PILOT SPORT A/S 3+ replacements the new Pilot® Sport All Season 4 . What's interesting is these are now one of the OE choices on the new Corvette. Looking forward to replacing the POS Pirellis. Tirerack has a great price on the PILOT SPORT ALL SEASON 4 right now. Not sure if it's an introductory price, but they are cheaper than the 3+'s on clearance! Looking forward to the performance and ride improvement over the runflats (good riddance).

Hope the update on these tires are positive, I’ve been eyeballing them for a while now. Have only around 5k miles on my Pirellis, but I’m already tired of the run-flat life.

Wow that is a great price. I just put the AS3+ on my car. It was a great deal and they drive well so no complaints. Bummed to hear they were discontinued, I got a very good deal, maybe that’s why.

Hope you guys have better luck than I did with those A/S 3+ installed on my previous car of a 2017 Golf R. Only got like 20k on them before tires got the the wear bars. Michelin purchased the tires back. I replaced them with Conti DWS and then traded for my 20 JCW Clubman. First thing I did was install the DWS'.

I’ve got 20,000 km on my car and it’s a 2017. The tires will deteriorate before I hit wear bars anyways the way I drive.

I ran the DWS on my wifes Mazda 5. They didn't wear for sh*t. Got better mileage out of a set of Pirelli P7s. Got 40,000 out of those and sold them with 3/32 for $50. Now running Michelin Premier A/S and those have worn like iron.....

The tires are on and the ride is so much better. Night and day between these and the RFs. They are so much quieter also. Looking forward to the monsoon tonight to see how they feel in the wet. These guys are fresh too as they were made between May 18, 2020 and May 24, 2020 in the U.S.A. Going rate right now on Tire Rack or Discount tire is $138 ea. including RH. Get em' while they're hot!

Gearhead: After your latest post, I bit the bullet and swapped my P7s with only 5800 miles, for the Pilot Sports. Only had a few hours with them, but I can say they are noticeably quieter and better riding. Grip, I will try out later tonight when the roads are empty. I did pay $138 for each tire, and got a $70 rebate from Michelin. Now to decide whether to get a spare, or go with a inflator, seal, and patch kit.

wow that’s a great price. I’d pay at least twice that in Canada, with no courtesy reach around. I got a pump and slime from Schnitzer, it was the cheapest thing on the menu. Im still considering a spare but I’m not sure it’s worth it since I also don’t plan on changing the tire. As far as I’m concerned, whatever the Mini or CAA roadside assistance person prefers, and I’m told they also carry universal spares in case the slime doesn’t work. Thankfully I haven’t validated it. In either case I’d be outside the car pretending to do something while my wife curses my name.

Great to hear that. I'll agree on the ride. It was noticable immediately. Grip is excellent too.
