Any ideas on how to clear this without taking to dealer? 2019, under warranty but it’s been on for a week, and I have to buckle seatbelt on passenger seat for chime to stop even though seat is empty. Happened a couple times on my 2016 but it went away on its own.

 

I wouldn't mess with a safety system alert, even if it's just a faulty seat sensor. Contact the dealer.

Not knowing how far the dealer is from you or how much of a hassle it is to get your car there, I will tell you that my local dealer will send a flat bed to pick up my car for service or warranty and will drop off a free loaner, and will then deliver my car and collect the loaner when the service is completed, all at no charge to me. Perhaps there is someone at your dealer who is in a position to make this happen for you?? Just a thought.

Reviving this thread.. My wifes 2018 Countryman is doing the same after my idiot child left the sun roof open and it poured that night (we were not driving anywhere, my kid was just playing int he car while we did yard work). Needless to say, there was 4 inches of water in the cup holders. and everything was soaked. Unfortunately it seems the damage was done, even after running a dehumidifier for 3 days, and leaving he car in the sun.

Question is, will the air bags still deploy (I have a call into the dealer, but have not heard back yet)..
