Loose Springs in Front Seat
Loose Springs in Front Seat
Has anyone had a loose spring in the seat of your new R56? I saw it the other day while detailing near the back of the passenger seat near the base. Its like a broken spring from an old mattress...and I wonder if I should call the dealer and have them check it out. The car is around 1500 miles so I figure it is still covered by the warranty. Sorry I dont think I want a spring poking the passenger in the butt every time they sit down (not broken yet....but im afraid of what could happen).
I've not seen this. Where does it show up? Are you looking under the seat, or at the top surface where the passenger would sit?
Best to have the dealer look at it while still under warranty, I think.

Its not through the cloth and it probably wouldn't ever poke through but it is near the junction of the back and bottom (do not know right terms). So where the rear of the passengers butt would be...right at the seam almost. Its a spring that I can press down upon. I will call the dealer today and set an appointment...hopefully before xmas.
they tell me that they do not have a loner car available for me until saturday! and of course I am out of town by then.... and they offer a shuttle for only a 15 mile radius.. so basically I can't get my car looked at unless I take vacation time from work to drop it off.
Are they required to have a loner car or is this something they offer as an added bonus?

what is the warranty of the upholstery? Is there a certain time limit? Ive read the warranty ....but it always has loopholes and what if..and not included.
I just called and they told me mileage doesn't matter. So I think I will wait until I can get a loner car. The car will be above 2000 miles but I dont think that matters now.
