Maybe this is a feature I should have known or that is well known, but here goes...

I was driving on the interstate yesterday afternoon and it was a somewhat foggy/hazy day, but not dark enough for the automatic headlights to trigger. While I could of course just flip the switch off of auto and switch the lights on, I randomly decided to tap the foglight button to see what it would do. Sure enough it turns on all the exterior lights (and interior evening lights) along with the fogs.

Simply and may sound silly, but a great way to trigger the highlights and fogs at the same time on a gloomy day without having to flip your headlights out of the auto position.

Anyone else think this is cool or am I just too easy to please?

 

Thats correct, foglight can not be used by themselves, so all the lights go on with them.

 

I would go with the latter, but that's not a bad thing. I discovered the same thing on my R56 IIRC.
