NEW RUBBER

Put the wheels and tires on today. I called Jeff at TX SpeedWerks about the studs. I had to laugh and be scared when I read those instructions. Its just an odd concept only 20lbs of torque on the studs. Lets just say Im in a skeptical stage, you know driven careful building up trust.
91 you where right, those tires are so much smoother!!!!! Its really unbelievable its the same suspension!!!!! Ill add pics later.

Fellas, sorry I won't be able to make this; we're antiquing in Belgium today...

Euno, will you be able to check in here occassionaly whilst downrange? If not, be safe, brother, and we'll do a run when you get back. I'm looking at MITA09 for a late July, early August time frame to catch the passes, so maybe that'll be good for you, too.

Cheers!!

Hmmmm. I wonder when my R&R dates will be. How pissed would the wife be if I blew off going home on R&R and went to MITA09 instead?

Great to hear the rims/tires are working out for you Matty...a decent set of non-runflat tires should be "de rigeur" for a well-driven Mini...

The pic just shows up as a red x on this end...Ca anyone else see it?

Matty: Can you post the pic to your gallery here on NAM?

91, I added a pic to gallery, Im surprised you cant see the other attachment, then again your IT guys probably consider it CAR **** and put a webfilter on it

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...m/DSC03948.JPG
The one thing about the car is she leans now in the corners. I have the sport suspension and all but now with all this wide super sticky tire contact, she wont break traction easyily. Before she would just glide around the corners loosing her line do to 4x slide. good and bad, I just need to lower her.

Then don't put in a set of ARP head studs...."hand tighten studs only"

Feels like installing a top fuel head though .

Wish I could play over there with you guys, I have a date with Roebling road the 9th and 10th of Aug., so I guess it's not all bad.

Have fun and be safe
