Electrical Driver door doesn't unlock but will lock with the remote

I have a similar problem with my '04 MCS. Both keys will lock everything, but neither key will unlock the driver's door remotely. Driver's door unlocks just fine manually with the key in the door handle.
The toggle switch in the center console will not lock or unlock the driver's door either.
The automatic door locking doesn't lock the driver's door. The only way the driver's door will lock electrically is with the key remote.
You can hear the lock solenoid inside the driver's door trying to do something, it just doesn't happen. I thought this was weird since it does lock by remote.

HELP! Same problem! Remote lock only, toggle switch nothing.
2010 Clubman S R55
Was playing with BimmerCode and managed to make the L&R break lights not respond to the pedal. Issue was that I had them set to the brightest setting when being used as DRL. I realized this AFTER I restored the module from the very first backup. Well screw me, now the remote will only lock the doors, however if I Hold the unlock button it will still roll the windows down. The toggle switch on the console does nothing, if I triple press it I can hear something click but nothing responds.
Here's the BIG ISSUE! ⚠️
I'm currently in route to Glacier National Park then to Vancouver, WA from Indiana a so I have another 35 hours of driving ahead of me.....and get this....I have one Candy Corn of fuel left and I cannot unlock the f***ing gas cap!

Same problem - anyone have a fix yet??
Any fixes on this from anyone? I have the same problem on my old 03 Mini Cooper.
Remote will lock all doors, only opens passenger and boot. Can open drivers side door with handles fine. It’s the same on both keys.
I just spent a couple of hours changing the lock mechanism (actuator) over. Didn’t help. I disconnected the battery as well and that changed nothing. This problem is driving me nuts!!

It's 2021....
Old thread. Still no solution but to: Buy a new actuator (still $200+), buy used (crossing fingers), remove/rebuild the one you have (hours of work).
My driver door only unlocks with the key and the inside pull. FOB locks/unlocks all others fine. Auto lock works on all others as well. However, I can clearly hear the driver door actuator engage as if it were new. - Nothing happens mechanically.
Wish there was a video with an unobstructed view of the actuator in action, i.e.= bench testing. I'm confident mine is a mechanical issue. I just can't see the parts moving while the part is in the door to be able to figure it out.
As we all know; R&R these actuators is such a pain!
