Mph to kmh, is it posible

I have bought a US model Cooper S, but I am living in Europe. Is it possible to change Mph to Kmh. And Fahrenheit to Celsius in the climacontroldisplay. And what about changing everything to Kmh in the computer which controls average speed/fuelgauge in the tachometer. Is it an expensive changing.

Yes you can change settings from mph/kph and temp from f to C. You can program it yourself. It's in the owner's manual.

I have looked in the owners manual, but in my danish version it is not described. Someone can tell me how to.

Do a search on mini2.com for "mph to kph".

For gen 1 cars, its a trip to the dealer from what they say.

The On Board Computer options can be set by the user...

but not the dash display and the like. To make the change may cost a bit of money... Do you need to do it or just want to? If it's just software, then you have to find a dealer to help.... On some cars (and I don't know if the Mini is one) you may have to change clusters as well.

The FAQ on mini2 shows the options for the OBC but it clearly says they dont know how to change from mph to kph or the other way around. The instructions are clearly shown how to access the computer and what each command shows (e.g., exact number of gallons left in the tank).

I can live with the speedometer that shows Mph, but not with the climacontrol, which shows Fahrenheit and the driving computer is also irritating me, because I am used to use Km/h in Denmark.

The Climate Control can be changed by the owner, I just have to remember how I'll look for it and get back to you (if you don't find it first)

Whoops, nevermind, looks like you found it @ MINI2 (Holding the Auto button)

I have found out how to change Fahrenheit to Celsius. Push both "Auto" button and "Feet" button at the same time. Then it changes. Now I only need to change tripcomputer to kmh. Do anyone know if an unautorized dealer with an universal tester can do the job. And reset my "Service engine soon" lamp, also.

The SES light can be reset/cleared with a simple OBDII tool.
