When configured for this function, the MCAW will automatically turn off DSC to yourMINI, 3 seconds after the vehicle is started. See appendix A."

It begins with "no end-user modification required," which is enough for many people to stop going any further.
I guess there is a bit of confusion. The other MCAW features beyond Auto-up windows all require modifications to the circuit. Features like GDO and the auxiliary outputs all require jumper changes, wire pigtails, or soldering, in addition to turning the function on in programming.

The "no end-user modification required" is meant to convey that no modification beyond programming is required for DSC Auto-off. We don't ship the circuits with ANYTHING enabled. Programming is ALWAYS required to use any function.

I guess I could modify that paragraph to say something like
"DSC Auto-off (no end-user modification required)
When turned on in programming for this function, the MCAW will automatically turn off DSC to your MINI, 3 seconds after the vehicle is started. See appendix A."

How about changing the "no end-user ..." bit to something like "hardware ready - requires programming to activate"?

Ok, so now I'm attempting to program the DSC AUTO-OFF. Thing is, I already programmed the windows, and now they don't stop part way up to let me know it's in program mode.

I still can figure out which toggle I'm supposed to click in what direction and how many times just to Auto Disable the DSC. Forget the GDO and any other nonsense.

Preface: DSC Auto-off requires the MCAW Deluxe Circuit.

Programming Reference:
  • Roll both Windows down.
  • Turn Key off
  • Turn key on - ignition position 2
  • Immediately press both window switches up until the windows stop moving up (typically a bit beyond half way up)
  • Press Lock/Unlock switch down once firmly.
(This resets current output programming to off)
  • Press Lock/Unlock switch up once firmly. (This sets the output to Mode 1 - DSC Auto-off enabled - all other outputs disabled).
  • Exit programming mode by not touching any switch for two seconds.
  • The driver's window will move up briefly to indicate when the circuit has exited programming mode.

I orderd the Deluxe from Outmotoring last week. They sent me the basic. I then called them and had them send me thr right one. It also was a basic and not a deluxe. I guess I am just destined to have the besic version. It works great though. This has to be the best integrated mod that I have seen

Just did this mod over the weekend. Literally a fifteen minute job. Have tried all the programming modes and settled on the double click. Great Mod!!
