I like driving with my fogs on but I hate that I have turn them on seperate from the parking lights. I would like to make the switch reverse. So they come on with the parking and when I want the off, I flip the toggle.
What you think?

You can with Ian Cull's auto-up circuit and fog light piggyback.

I'm not a fan of having the fogs on all the time, but to each his own.

I ordered mine on Monday, it should be here tomorrow. Can wait!! I will have my girlfriend do it because she has tiny hands. I will let you know the results. I got the Window up, DCS off and Fogs on.

 

Very simple to do, one of the best mods I have done to my car. A lot of people skim over the smaller mods like this, but they're the ones that you use every day, and make the car more "right" .

 

I have a 04 Cooper and to my knowledge, it has not been altered. However, I can turn the fogs on with just the driving lights and not the headlights. Don't know if this was pertinent to the 04 Coopers but it works on mine.

 

I think Ian's circuit automatically turns on the fog lights with the headlamps, not with the parking lights. Also, if you use the auto-headlamps, Ian's auto-foglight circuit will defeat the auto-headlamp function in the later cars. When the headlamps come on automatically, the foglights will turn on correctly, but then the headlamps will never turn off automatically as long as the fogs are on. The example Ian uses on his site is driving through a tunnel. As you enter the tunnel, the headlamps will automatically turn on, and Ian's circuit will cause the fogs to come on too. But when you exit the tunnel, the headlamps will continue to stay on because the fogs are now on.
