Not really a mod, but involves electrical...

I bought my MC used, and the cigarette lighter dosn't get anypower. Now usually this wouldn't mean anything to me being as I don't smoke, but I use an FM Transmitter to play my IPod when I'm driving, and since the lighter gets no power, I can't use my FM Transmitter. Anyone know anyreasons/fixes for this?

Check fuses first? Always start simple, before pulling wires.

How's the FM transmitter...Around here they don't work so well and they turn out to be more trouble then going and getting a new system installed with an aux input

out in MD they work fine. Everyone I know that has one just uses 88.1-89.9 as there frequency since that range has absolutly no stations. So no worries about any interference, unless you pull up at a light next to someone using the same frequency. But even then they arn't going to over power you more than likly.

It depends on the year/model of your car, though it's most likely in F32.
See this thread for pics of the fuse panel (posts 8 & 27)

Just in case, the lighter is not hot until you turn the key on. I hate this as I can not charge my cell phone in the car, every time I turn the key off the charge stops.
