Brake light question

I was behind a Cabrio last week on the highway and noticed that the third brakelight was in the belt line. I was wondering if anyone considered retrofitting this to a hard top MINI in order to counteract the lack of visibility in larger vehicles (which there are many compared to the MINI) of the upper light due to spoiler interferance. I know quite a few people have done this with the rear fog slot, just wanted to know if anyone considered this.

I haven't considered it, but it does seem like a good idea.

Certain models of Cadillacs have an LED brake light strip nearly the width of the car.

Actually it would never work, I looked my cabrio and the light is bolted on from the outside when the boot is open. The bolt would be visible and you could not get it to be flush.
