iPod delay

I have the factory ipod adapter and I always have this delay between when I select 'next song' and it actually going to the next song. Is this normal? Any remedies?

1-2 seconds. Seems like an eternity when it's a song I don't want to listen to though.

Sometimes with my Dension IceLink there is a slight delay between songs and I have found that it only happens when I have the playlist set for random. I don't think that 1 - 2 seconds it too bad, but there may be someone out here that can tell you what they are getting with their factory unit.

Have you tried this with other iPods or your iPod in another vehicle?

Hmm.. That might make sense. I always have it on random. I'll have to check it out tomorrow.

Nope. I don't know of any other vehicles with an ipod adapter. I know of other ipods and it seems like a good test.

Let me guess... you have an Ipod Photo? Its a common hiccup with the Ipod Photos + IceLink.

Actually, no. I also just went out to check if it was only when I had my list on random, but it does it when it's non-random.

I just noticed my thread is in the wrong place though.
