What do you think? I need opinions before I pull the trigger

Amber colored lights do a better job of cutting through the fog without reflecting too much glare back at you.

My wife who works with visually impaired veterans explained to me that amber is the color of light that our eyes see best. It also improves contrast. That is why sharpshooters often wear amber colored glasses.

I have amber colored high beams and it is amazing how they light up the road without causing tons of glare.

Go for yellow. It's functional and looks nice too. Who cares if it looks like a Lexus...every other car (save some Mercedes) have white one's. White is just annoying to oncoming traffic (especially if aimed too high like those Chevy SUV's) and useless in fog.

I am just thinking if the yellow fogs would kill the xenons as far as the looks are concerned (there it goes again, bling factor)

*******HEY! 'not-so' AKA 'rednwhitecooper' i like ur shorter sign on name, or is it longer now?? =0) =0D =oD......
..
the xenons will not be affected d0oD!
it would actually be kinda k00l, the blue in the xenons would look bluer, the Amber would stand out more too. but if ur l00kin' for sumthin' in the BLING factor do high power whites/blues, real xenon fogs.
havent checked them out yet but if it l00ks at all like sum of these e40's runnin' round these streets, im goin' for it!!

those light systems on M3's rock!!

The yellow bulbs I had for the 3er's fogs from Supreme Power Parts (and bought the same for the MCS that I'll be putting in soon) did not look yellow like a Lexus - those have yellow lenses and the only way your fogs will look like that is if you put a yellow film on them.

The light they project is yellow toned and thus works well with fog, but they do not appear that way - you can see the yellow on the light projected on the pavement but not see it by looking at the car if you know what I mean. Looking at the car with the fogs lit up they appeared white, on the E46 they complimented the Xenons very well, I'll see if it is the same with the MCS.

Wonder if they are all the same manufacturer? Bet a search can find even more vendors...

Yikes! The clear Stongard I had on the 3er fogs never melted even with long drives with them on (SF to LA, etc). That makes me leery of of that film, it should be able to withstand the heat of the lights IMHO..

They're not really melted to the glass, they're just black on the centers now, I'm assuming it was from the long drive. I actually bought the pre-cut ones from MOSS MINI, wonder if they read this and will send me new ones! hahahaha

You may want to switch brands, as I said the Stongard never melted or anything on the glass BMW fogs, and I had that stuff on for years with long hours of fog use. I also have Stongard on the M Coupe headlights and so far its fine too.
