Radar Detector Interference?

I noticed a sticker on the windshield of my '05 MCS (BRG w/a white roof, don't you know...), after I had already bought a Valentine One radar detector. The sticker says that radar detectors and other "unauthorized" electrical add-ons can interfere with the Mini electrical system. The only thing I've noticed so far, is that sometimes my passenger air bag turns off (not good!!). Has anyone noticed any similar or other effects from radar detectors? Is there a possibility of long term problems? The radar detector is fantastic and has saved my bacon several times, by finding those pesky CHPs long distances away.

Your passenger airbag probably turns off when you have something like a backpack on the seat that makes the sensor think that there is a small child too small for the airbag to safely deploy.

Had I taken the time to move my V1 into my rental car this past weekend my driver's record would still be clean!

Just ignore the sticker like everyone else does!

I've had a V1 in my cars for years and years and in spite of that same strange warning have had 0 issues resulting from using it.
