*Request* Location of RGB controller (Excitement Package)

I have scoured this site as well as the internet in general and can not locate the initial source controlling the RGB lighting for the interior of the car. I have found a few tutorials for adding additional RGB lights to the existing setup (i.e. https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/electrical/237192-rgb-ambient-mood-lighting-additions-mod.html) but these all just tap into existing wires being supplied the varying voltages from the car. I am looking to see if there is an 'initial' source for all of these lights (i.e. one connector that if you disconnect it all the interior RGB would turn off). Does anyone know if there is one source/module powering all interior RGBs or does each light connect with it's own 'module' that is being fed with the color information over CAN? Overall I'm looking to build my own contoller for the RGB that could be installed in-line with the car's exisiting to allow me to choose colors beyond the 'cycling' option or the few 'solid' choices available. If I there is a 'root' source that I can get to this should not be overly complicated and I will gladly share my schematics and coding (likely using a arduino). Beyond the initial goal of having more color options I plan on making the new controller BT enabled so extra RGB could be added anywhere on the car that has 12v available (i.e. adding underbody lights that match with interior automatically. ) Any input would be appreciated as the closest info I can find is over 10 years old.
