My 2018 pre Lci came with the very basic single interior light which is useless

As this is the only interior light apart from the boot light is it a simple job to retrofit the footwell and glovebox lights? will the wiring/ plugs be there (maybe taped behind panels) or would a part wiring harness and modules be needed?

I bought the better overhead light with the toggle switches for the additional map lights but the connectors were different so couldn't fit that :( anyone know if there's an adapter for that as well?

Umm... some pictures might be helpful... I'm not sure how 'basic' your vehicle's interior lighting is... I thought all the F5x MINIs were fairly standard in terms of interior lighting (not including the ambient color lighting). Overhead map/dome lights, footwell, glove box, trunk/boot, door puddle lights... are they selling stripped-down MINIs that are lacking these lights?
