Electrical rear fog light
rear fog light
Has any one switched the rear fog light to work with the brake lights, if so can it be done with out using the Bimmer Code App, spoke to a couple of dealerships and was told by both that the only changes they could make are to the key fob, was also offered some advice not to go into expert mode on Bimmer Code App, was told quite costly to re flash ECU. I have a 2020 oxford edition with the single fog light in the lower bumper.
After nicking all of the wires from the schematic, I just end up using a meter. Just do not park in the shade like I did and the lights come on. They apparently change from model to model and years to year. Amazon does have some new wire taps that are great. Jelly filled and secure weather proof.

However, as a few others have reported, after I made the change 1/2 of my brake lights stopped working. I didn't have time to play with it, and simply backed out the Bimmer Codes changes.
I activated mine using Bimmercode, left and right sides have to be activated, not sure how it works with only one light. I never had any issues with the main brake lights acting up like some other had. You can buy a new headlight switch with the working fog light button but then the fogs are on all the time not just with the brakes.
