I bought a pair of h13 LED bulbs for my 08 MCS and I'm getting a "low-beam" warning light. How can I cancel this?

 

Did you ever figure anything out?

I was thinking of upgrading to LED’s on my R55 but wasn’t sure if I would have to recode. I’ve read that if you switch to LED’s it can trigger the low beam check control error.

currently I’ve got this gremlin that I get the low beam error light and all my headlamps work, connections are good.

Yea everything actually turned out fine. I ended up buying canbus resistors and it fixed the problem.

 

I don’t think you can use any bulb as the parking bulb. It can be dangerous, and I think there are certain rules about using non-original parts in the essential systems of a car. You can use a color-changing light bulb as an appliance for the car’s interior. I can even recommend that because you will get an absolutely new car that will look completely different at night. The “coolness” effect is even bigger if you synchronize the bulb with the music you are listening to throw a little party inside the car. This is allowed and fine, but I doubt you can use a LED bulb as a parking light.
