Dme and ews from another car

I HAVE 2000 BMW
I HAD IT DIAGNOSED AND BMW SHOP TOLD ME I NEED TO REPLACE MY DME AND EWS. BRAND NEW PARTS ARE EXPENSIVE AMOUNTING TO $2500. AM I ABLE TO GET FROM THOSE PARTS FROM ANOTHER CAR WITH THE SAME YEAR AND MODEL, AND HAVE DEALERSHIP PROGRAM IT..? Or i do not have too since im pulling both dme and ews from the same donor car.

mini are bmw now, and the ews/dme/keys pairing works the same

dme vin/options may not match I've never done it myself I'm not sure if the vin can be changed on a dme
