Has anyone managed to get their power fold side mirrors to work with their key fob?
Using Carista, BMWhat or NCSExpert?

Lock doors...mirrors fold in
Unlock doors...mirrors fold out.

I have Carista and there are two setting...they don't seem to do anything

Auto fold side-view mirrors (req. power folding mirrors)
*YES* / NO

Delay when auto-folding side-view mirrors
*0 SECONDS* / 0.5 SECONDS / 1 SECOND / 1.5 SECONDS

 

From my understanding, it's not possible to get the mirrors to fold in or out with the key fob as they aren't hard-wired into the FRM module. The code exists likely because there were certain parts of the coding that was copied from BMWs, and it didn't necessarily apply 100% to the MINI. It essentially became "dead" code.

There was one person who managed to do it on a 2013 Countryman, but according to him it was because of a wiring change made during production in 2012 and took extensive re-wiring and installation of the electrochromatic mirrors both inside and out, plus altering the VO of the car for it to work. The new wiring had different connections than the older cars, so no chance of retrofitting into older models according to him.
