Stuffing these wires back in… HELP!!!

I bought this R53 with these wires and fuse panel like this. I can't find a picture or reference as to how this all goes back, like where the wiring routes and where the relays down there go and what the fuse box attaches to. If anyone could help out or get a pic of theirs with the kick panel off, I would very much appreciate it!!

If one of you could post a pic or a scan of a diagram, that would be super helpful and I would be forever in your debt!

Holy crap what was the previous owner doing? I see a few butt connectors so they were splicing something. Not sure what you would want to splice down there?

Alarms would generally be tapped under the steering column to tie into the starter disable.

Very odd.

Here's a shot I just took of my 05.
Pretty much viewed from under the steering column. OBDII connection is at the lower part of the image.

Hope it helps!

Very odd.

That was from 9 months of "diagnosis" between a MINI dealership and an independent "MINI Specialist" into a no start issue. The specialist thought it was a K-line issue and pulled all the wires out and apart to test each one separately. I correctly diagnosed an EWS issue the first 3 days I had the car, and after having RPMS work on my DME/EWS, it cranked right up. The previous owner was astounded that I had it running so quickly. So that is the story of the spaghetti in the floorboard. I guess if you want something done right…

jamez, you are my hero. If ever you are in my neck of the woods, I'm buying you a drink of your choice (alcoholic or non). I thank you, sir.

Yup, I'm a freaking saint.

Sounds good to me, as long as it involves seeing your ride on the road. BTW, what neck of the woods would that be?

She should be on the road, barring unforeseen work, within a week or so. Then I can start making her look pretty again.

As far as my neck of the woods, I'm in Columbus, GA. You may have heard of it, or maybe not. Evidently MINIs are very popular here.

Though it may not be in there completely correctly, the spaghetti is resolved and the panel, after MUCH fighting and "sweet-talking" is back on. I can't believe how difficult that side panel is to get in there, BTW. I now have an even greater appreciation for the effort it took to get the photos for me. Thank you again!!

Absolutely she is running. Since about 2 weeks into ownership. I have it documented in another thread about the work I'm doing, etc. She's already been on a road trip and everything! This car may be a little rough around the edges, but I LOOOVE it! I'll post a link to the other thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-the-dead.html

I'll admit, it was a bit daunting at first, but I got it tackled before I hit anything important with my clutch foot. Not a whole lot of room down there with the pedals. In fact, if I use the dead pedal my foot always gets stuck under the clutch. Not a huge ordeal, but I've already scratched some of my nice shoes. But still a fun motor.
