While wiring up my car camera I noticed that the big black box under the centre row of fuses was quite hot to the touch. This is for a 2012 R56 MCS LCI with comfort access. (I borrowed this picture from another thread)


Is that a relay and is there anything to worry about ?

I don't think there are is a relay behind the fuse. Just a lot of amps going thru the fuse is causing it heat up.

I probably wasn't clear enough in my post, what I was referring to was the square cube like thing just below fuses 18 and 27 in the picture. It looks like some sort of relay to me and it doesn't seem to be marked on the fuse box cover.
