Aftermarket Xenon Strobing

I just installed an aftermarket set of Xenon lights in my 2006 that just had regular headlights.

The lights work fine unless the car is running then they strobe. When its not running I get a perfect beam.

Anyone ever run into something like this?

You may need a capacitor across the supply or use NCS to disable the hot monitoring.

Yup...
Canbuss equipped cars use a slightly reduced voltage on the lights to extended bulb life....
The computer rapidly pulses the power...results in nearly normal halogen light output...but longer bulblife....
Various companies sell units to fix the issue....

The lights are not on the CANBUS. CANBUS is reserved for high speed communications between DME, ABS and the gearbox.

Hot monitoring is a feature the LCM offers to reduce heat buildup, normalize the brightness during fluctuating battery voltage and monitor for blown bulbs.

Good price for waterproofed parts with the right connectors.

Thanks again for the help in figuring out what to get.
The "Warning Canceller"s arrived today, plugged in in 30 seconds and I now have beautiful upgraded Xenon headlights. BONUS: they are black.

I love the way these headlights look, but one just died. I guess sitting in my basement for 6 years wasn't a good thing. :/

Any suggestions/thoughs for either replacing the bulbs in these, or quality Xenons? Should I just get a set of MINI ones and joey mod them?
