Accel Ignition Coil Replacement

So, I've got a corroded terminal on my ignition coil, as happens with this things, exploring my options I couldn't find anyone who has given the Accel option a try. (Someone should correct me if I'm wrong that this will fit. )

Amazon.com: ACCEL 140026 Super Coil: Automotive Amazon.com: ACCEL 140026 Super Coil: Automotive
ACCEL 140027 Super Coil : Amazon.com : Automotive ACCEL 140027 Super Coil : Amazon.com : Automotive

As far as I can tell, they fit as well as the MSD option and are heck of a lot cheaper. My major concern is, like the MSD pack, these aren't made for Minis. I'm worried that they'll break and take out my ECU with them, just like the MSD.

If I can get an extra computer for fairly cheap, I'm going to definitly try the Accel, but thought I would put the idea out there if anyone else is willing.

The oem coil is the one to use. Paint it red if you want underhood bling.

I wouldn't use it or the MSD. As you've already had problems with the MSD as I can see. More than likely from the way it's mounted it isn't mounted in rubber like the original was. We've used both the OEM MINI and the Screamin Demon with good luck. Lately I've seen people say not to use the Demon, but I've sold many of them without any issue so I take it with a grain of salt.

Not going for bling, going for a coil that isn't an entire part-time-student paycheck.

Just was interested if anyone else had tried or considered the Accel pack. OEM is what I want, but given the wires and plugs need replacing too, might just go for your Screamin Demon package. Comes with everything and costs close to just the OEM pack.

Oh and it's not my picture, I put the source in the thread, but the link is borked for some reason. Read too many people having the MSD pack frying the ECU to go with that option.

Buy the oem coil. You can get a used one for a few bucks.

The Screamin Demon & MSD have caused problems for people. You say you don't have much money this I understand. Don't waste your limited resources.
