Where would i find the MOST ring so I can check my fiber optic connections? Under the drivers seat? Thanks!

 

If you are looking for the MOST diagnostic point (ring closer) check the passenger's side - it's tucked up above the fuse box.

That said there are MANY other possible MOST device connection points: boot right hand side (digital/HD radio), under passenger's seat (video module or satellite receiver), under driver's seat (Bluetooth/telephone interface), and the center console (radio or nav unit).

 

And changer/ipod adapter behind the secret compartment. :-)

The fibers are usually orange in colour. They do not bend as normal wires and have the tendency to straighten. When looking on a MOST ECU, the fibers always come in pair, one is input and another is output. Look at this page for common components to get an idea.

 

Is there an actual photo of the MOST double fiber-optic port, on a MINI? I've been searching frantically
