Bulb Error Light Indication ?

If I'm experiencing a bulb error, what type of indicator light should I see ?

Sorry can't figure out how to post it here, but try page 184 of your owners manual.

Perhaps, I should rephrase my question. I understand that a bulb error will cause the bulb symbol to appear on the tachometer. However, is it possible for it to cause a check engine symbol ? Or is it simply a coincidence that this occurred after installing some LED plate bulbs ?

What you bought, were they CAN bus LEDs?

Yes. The bulbs are specified as being CAN BUS - error free LED's.

It's extremely unlikely that changing bulbs would cause a check engine fault, but you can verify by changing the bulbs back to original. It might very well be a coincidence. If the check engine stays on and your car is under warranty, have the dealer look at it. You can also take it to auto parts stores such as AutoZone and they will read the error code for free.

That's precisely what I am thinking . More importantly, wouldn't a symbol for a bulb error come up on the tach if indeed it was the LED bulb (s) ?

I checked the code, it came up as P0301 cylinder 1 misfire on three occasions. So, I guess the good news is that it's not the bulbs. The bad news is the car has only been driven 1,000 miles and I'm already experiencing problems.

I was getting the check engine light too and my car only has 1500 miles on it. Took it to the dealer and they told me the gas I had in the tank had too much ethanol in it. That's what was causing the engine light. They told me to use 100% gas in the winter because the winter gas mix is usually higher on ethanol than in the summer in the midwest. Still on my first tank of 100% gas and no engine lights yet.

I also just installed some LED bulbs on the front parking lights and was getting the bulb out warning.
