Anyone have any luck with H8's in the fogs...
...Not messing with the CANBUS?? I threw in a set of "stock wattage" (55watts) ion yellow bulbs and the drivers side won't stay on. I took it to the dealer on Monday thinking it may have had a short! Turns out it was the bulbs!!
I didn't think a stock wattage bulb would mess with the CANBUS! :sigh:
Anyone have luck with a certain brand H8 not messing with the CANBUS
(For the sake of argument, I do not want to get into coding anything for the car!!)
Thanks!

Has anyone tried replacing the fogs w/ PIAA H8 bulbs? I've been thinking about ordering these:

i purchased some hoen xenon match bulbs for my fogs. no problems and they match the xenon headlights perfect. im really diggin the total xenon look from the inside and outside of the car
. "coding" is out for me to for now. "coding" sound interesting and horrifying at the same time
found these on Ebay it says they are compatable...i might try themhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/8500K-Pure-W...item4170c12dcc
PIAA are overpriced IMO. Goto a tinting store and have them put yellow tint on the foglight housing and then you can save money by buying normal H8 bulbs.

Hoen yellow function very well. Fog lights are for the most part yellow not white. (rain, etc..)
They are so low to the ground that in my opinion putting in whites is a waste of time unless you are going for "the look" over actual function.

sorry it has taken so long, here are those pictures of the hoen xenon match fog lights. they match perfect and put out alot of light. the pic from the front glass is the fog lights only. i just bought them from bimmian or ebay. i cant remember it was over 8 months ago
The phone camera makes them look obnoxious. In person they look just like the headlights, but shine down and out. The headlights are more likely to blind oncoming traffic since they shine down the road. Nobody has ever flashed there high beams at me, unless my high beams are on.
Ive been running the Noya 35w h8's & have no issues.

I've ran the PIAA yellow ions as fog lights in my last two MINI's. I buy them from Aaron at Outmotoring. I've had great results from them in foggy conditions and under normal conditions they give me a better depth of view along the sides of the road.

thats really odd, I've been running mine in my 12' CM for nearly 4mos w/o any issue whatsoever?
Love that they are yellow and function as Fogs should.
