Coded w NCSExpert a 2009+ MINI? Tell me cable source!

Hello everyone...

Might have seen some of my posts, and short story I bought a cable a while back and it just wasn't compatible w/ the 2009+ MINIs and thankfully vendor allowed a return...

So know I want to source a cable KNOWN TO WORK for a 2009 MINI R55.

Someone want to sell me theirs? Someone want to tell me "right here, I bought >that one< and it worked!"?

thank you!!!

I would like this info too. I have already bought one cable and have installed several different ncsexpert setups on 3 different laptops. I can see power and ignition but can't get it to pull the vin. Would love to find someone in my neck of the woods that can confirm my cable is good or help me troubleshoot but not many MINI geeks in Nebraska. I hate to buy a second cable if it's my own stupidity. I have programmed sat cards, hacked tivos, done modded firmwares....all kinds of weird stuff. Never been stumped this badly.

Anyone willing to spoon feed a newb? I will gladly pay it forward.

It's a 2011 R55

Don't skimp on a cable. There are a bunch of crappy ones on eBay. The one in the link below, I have, and am using on a bunch of cars successfully.

Can you confirm you have used this on a newer car? Do you use the adapter after 08?

Thanks!

The cable worked perfect! Wish I would have bought it sooner.

That looks like the one I bought on eBay for ~$30. It did NOT work, I ended up buying one from one-stop. They sent me a malfunctioning cable at first but were really great about sending me out a new one that now works. I would say the only cable that works is the one-stop cable. They've got to be expensive for a reason right?
