i want to put angel eyes in the running lights / turn signal bulb housings. Do these things come apart? has anyone tried?

The lens is rotationaly friction welded to the body, when I tried to very gently remove 1 lens it cracked right across.
I would say no.
Instead buy a set of them with the angel eye already fitted. Thats what I did in the end.

I am guessing they are Plug & Play so the US model Mini's should not have any install problems ?

Yes, I have the Ultra Angel Eyes installed. They are plug-and-play. The two LEDs that light the "eye" portion are harnessed together and plug right into the factory socket. The center bulb is 21W and equivalent to the domestic 1156 single-element bulb (which can be purchased cheaper). Search E-Bay for "silver 1156" and you will some hits at a good price.

astroBlackMetallic_Mini... make sure those come with the LED harness. Otherwise, they look correct. And that's a good price.
