Angel Eyes- Fog light hook up question

I installed a set of fog lights that have the Angel eyes on them. I have them hooked up according to the manufactures instructions, ie the power lead is too the battery. Which means I have to turn them off when ever I stop the car.

I tried to hook them up to the running lights initially but got the bulb out light.

MY QUESTION: What can I hook the power lead too that is controlled by the ignition switch, so I can leave them on. Even better, it would be nice to have them hooked up the the cars lighting system so they are on anytime the lights are on.

I looked at the fuse panel on the passenger side and noticed that there are two empty fuse spaces for heated seats. Do you think this has power running to it and would this be a source to run the power lead.

I need suggestions on this. I own a 2011 model which makes it difficult to run off the lighting wires on the car.

thks

Why not just install a light relay that is triggered by the parking lights; that way power will only be available to the angel eyes when the parks are on?

I not sure where I got them probably off ebay, but the box says,
"Blinglights by Blinglights - BL5000K, features H3-55watt , Fog& Driving lights plus while angel eyes".

The box says list price MSRP $360.00, but I got them for about 100 as I remember.

The brackets that come with the lights do not fit the Mini and I could not figure out how to use the factory Mini brackets to make it work, so I epoxied them into the bumper.

I tired, as one person mentioned to hook them up to the park lights, but it threw a bulb warning in the system. (They lights come with a wiring harness that has fuses, etc). Currently I have them wired directly the battery which means I have to manually turn them off when I get out of car. I would still like to be able to have them tied to some electrical source that is hooked to the ignition system.

Hope this helps.

When I installed my driving lights, I tapped the power wire to the headlight power. So whenever I turned the headlights on, it would come on.

Do the Angel Eyes have a separate bulb that replicates the parking light? If not, and you just wire them into the low beams, isn't the computer going to give you a bulb out warning if it doesn't "see" resistance on the parking light circuit?

the DRLs/parking lights can be set by the computer to be on or off. The wiring harness that comes with the Bling lights has one power lead which goes to the Fog part of the light and also the angel eye. A three way switch is provided which allows you to have the lights off or either fog or angel.

Initially I tried to splice into the DRL lights and you are right , now I have a bulb out light. When I had the power wire spliced into the DRL/parking light wire, I did not have enough power to make the fog light part of the system work.. I then just hook up the power wire direct to the battery. Since I made the slice into the DRL/parking light, the light on that side does not work. I just live with the light out warning.

So what I have now, is " the fog/angel eyes in place of the standard OEM DRL/Parking light. The fog/angel lights only come on when I turn them on with the 3 way switch. I left the two DRL/Parking lights ( remember only one works) hook up but have them hanging between the bumper and the front wheel wells.

What I do not like is having to remember to turn the fog/angel eyes off whenever I get out of the car, since they are wired to the battery. When I get time I plan to splice into the headlight wire like mentioned by one of the emails above.
