Radio Button Not Working

Don't Laugh at Me...
I have a 2008 Cooper S Clubman. I left the sun roof open over night last week and came a down pour. When I got to my car the next morning, I realized my stupid mistake. Dried everything off and hopped in and started the car. The center console started freaking out and the radio was tripping and changing stations and switching from radio to cd then to aux. I was able to get it all dried out and the computer buttons on the center console do not work anymore. If i use my spare key the CD player is on and the CD that is in the player plays however, I have to way of controlling the tracks or the ability to eject the CD. Volume control works but not the on/off button. With my primary key, I have no radio or CD. I looked at the fuses and looks like there are none blown although I did not test them with an ohm meter to verify. I have to take my car to have an oil change today and will have my mechanic take a look at it, but was really want to resolve this issue first.

All help is appreciated.

Sounds like a real problem with the Radio Head Unit also known as the Central Car Computer. It handles many of the other computer functions such as trip, time, etc.

You may have gotten it all dry on the outside but the inside (depending on how much water got into it) may take days or weeks to dry out. And when it does it will probably leave corrosion behind. This corrosion will cause the problems you are having and there is really only two ways to fix that. 1. replace with new or 2. take a part and clean.

Good luck.

CCC Issue

@ Schatzy62
My trip, time, etc visible behind the steering wheel work. Just the buttons on the Computer (center console). I guess I was saying radio controls but must be the computer.
