Chrono Kit Questions

Does the Chrono Kit have to have the replacement center gauge cluster? Or can I just add the speedometer to my existing cluster?

Also, can you still use the Craven Speed gauge mounts with the chrono kit? Or are they mutually exclusive?

The chrono kit replaces the center speedo....the guages go there....
and the speedo/rpm's go on two seperate displays above/behind the steering wheel...
A few folks have tried to retro fit this kit....with varying sucess....but none 100%....it was a factory option....had a fewprogramming differances....and retrofits have been said to be "unsupported" by the dealer....
adding aftermarket gauges...(like quality auto meterguages) and then mounting them in the crave sppeed mount, negates the need....
It sounds like you don't understand what the chrono pack was/is....it put the guages in the center where other mini's got the speedo or the nav......

I had an idea of what was included but did not know the center gauges were inseperable from the steering wheel mounted speedo. I was hoping to replace the factory tac with the tac/speedo combo unit and leave the center mounted speedo in place.

Since this appears to not be an option I will instead opt to get a the Craven Speed gauge holders and some Auto Meter gauges (Oil Preasure, Voltage, Oil Temp). I'd consider a boost gauge but with a supercharger that seems vaguely pointless.
