OBC speedo clock option / info readout help!

well I have an 02 mini that I bought new back some 8 years ago now and the other day I noticed a newer mini 05 had the clock and speed readout on the center display and tack, is their any way i can get this can the dealer upgrade my OBC to make this work, mine just showes the temp, average speed, average mpg and range and stuff but nothing else.
i wanted to get rid of my over head clock and add the over head reading lights instead. i dont see why this cant be done, I also noticed all the info in the speedo already but its just not lit up but its on the lcd bored, you can see it at night all the options are their just not implimented.

thanks guys,

I did mine, there is a link in the top of my post and it is the how too! Good luck! And you have to get it programed by Mini, good luck with that too because they told me it couldn't be done, had to do a little arguing! lol

Oh, I'm sorry, misread your post! I thought you were just trying to enable the obc features. Yeah, time and speed are the two things I can't read! I wish I could get the speed!! The first gens, I think only 02-03 didn't come with the hardware to get the speed reading. From what I've been told.

thanks guys,
Early cars have the overhead clock and so their tacho has no clock in it at all.
Also early cars did not show the speed.
To get what you want you would need to buy the latest part number of tacho from MINI and have it fitted and coded to the car.

My November 2003 MCS used to as well.
Only very early cars don't.
