Electrical Driving Lights install

I'm not sure if you need help.
I put those on as DRLs.
I wired them directly to the battery. The relay to turn
them on is connected to come on with the key (additional
switch inline but I don't want to get too complicated).
That is the Hella kit. I think the OEM kit is wired to come on
with high beams only. You could take that switch and make your
own connections, and put the power to the key some place, or to
your own relay.
It can get really complicated modifying dealer install kits for things like
this. I think that is why you have not had so much advice.
My advice to you is to wire the lights to a relay (using your own
wires), then the relay connects directly to the battery. You then
connect the relay to your switch. You could then get the activation
power from a) the high beam wire, b) the low beam wire, or
c) from the fuse box or any other place, for example, the
lighter socket. They would come on when the car comes on, or the
lights come on, as you prefer. I do not know if there is an actual
power wire going to the headlights, low or high beam. It seems almost
everything on the car is controlled by the computer. If that is the
case, and you want them to come on with the low beams, you could
tap into the low beam wire on the headlight in the engine bay, and
connect that wire to the relay. In this case, you would not even
use the switch inside the car. Unless you wanted to make it where
you can manually turn them off. Then, you would need to run your
own wire to the switch.
I know this sounds complicated. Modifying a dealer kit on this car in this
case I think is kinda complicated. That's why I decided on the Hella kit,
it contained everything, and I just put in my own wires.
I hope this helps at least a little bit.

I have a set of Hella's that I plan to hook up and use their wiring harness. You siad that you took the power from the battery, they say to take it from the same place, but the OEM lights take their power from the nut in the engine fuse box and the ground under it. This is very close to where the wire goes through the fire wall, so is there a problem with doing that? Just asking to be sure I haven't missed something.

I just went to look and see if I could find where the OEM connects to that module, but I can't tell which wire that is. Sorry.

I think I've got the two tap wires figured out.. but that one that slips into the connector and says insert into pin 4 is hanging me up. There are no numbers or markings on the connectors to indicate
Here's a question...I've been searching this forum, and I can't see an answer. I bought the VIP kit, and have xenons. I want to bypass the switch and have the lights go on when the hi beams go on. I can seem to find a place to connect the trigger to. Can anyone shed light on the subject? (pun intended).
