Electrical What sensor/speaker is in the top light housing?
What sensor/speaker is in the top light housing?
Ok, so I recently wired my V1 to the upper light housing. When I first peeled off the outer casing there is some attached to the right side of it. It looks to be possibly a speaker or a sensor of some sort. The reason why I ask is, if it is indeed the speaker/mic for the bluetooth, I'm moving it to the driver's side. If it's a sensor of some sort, I'm leaving it alone. Any help would be great!
"Upper light housing" ?????. are you sure that you are not referring to the rear view mirror housing, where there is a microphone for the "voice recognition" setup . This is where you would hook up your V1 anyway.
Yes. (Sorry, I did a search for proper nomenclature on that unit and had to just make one up.) Alright, so that is for the Bluetooth. Well, I'm gonna take a pic of it so we have a better idea as to what I'm talking about.
Is it a small rectangle with a couple wires clipped to one end? It's probably the microphone for the bluetooth and voice controls. It is clipped into the cover near the ceiling toggle switches.
There are some photos in this thread if that is indeed what you are looking at.
