Replacing R56 Driving Light Bulbs

How do you get the R56 Driving light open to replace the bulbs?

I found a small slot at the bottom but I am not sure if this is used to open the light housing.

You pretty much need to remove them from their brackets, and there is small screw at the bottom of the light near the wire ingress that you need to remove. The lights then separate at the seam. Be sure to make note of the placement of the seals and wires for reassembly.

Thanks for the reply! I have a set of Silverstars that I want to put in to more closely match the HIDs!
Should look like a MINI UFO with that much light on the front.

So I get the lights all apart and there is a small tamper-proof torx bit screw in the middle holding the bulb in.

I guess I will be off to Sears this weekend for a new tool set...

Here's the install manual for the lights. Chapter 10 has info on replacing the bulbs in case anyone needs it.

Led no error then error

So I replaced my City lights with Led supposed error free.
Started car, no issues.
10 min later when starting car I get bulb error but it goes away.
I used the turn stalk to do "Sytem Check" and it states "All ok".

So my question is, is the bulb error correcting itself or not.

I don't care if it just shows up for 3 secs on car start up,
But, us the error still there?
