Hello sorry if this has been asked before but i searched on the forum. My question is if i bought an HID kit of ebay would there be some light on my dash come on or any other things that an HID kit would effect on an 04 MCS

anybody??? i really just want to know if im gonna have some check light or some problems with an aftermarket HID Kit in an 04 MCS

 

I am new to the Mini side of the house so I can offer help for my past.

If the Mini has a sensor that tells you have a lamp out this may end up coming on as the HID bulbs draw far less power. 35W on startup and usually 23-29W during normal operation. Where the Halogen bulbs will draw 55W all the time.

When you install I would highly recommend doing this the correct way. RELAYS!!! Do not just go with the plug and play option. This may also help in avoiding any "light out" warning.
