Sun Roof Auto open/close

I got Bimini about 2 weeks ago and have found out that I really miss one item that my wife's 2006 has - auto open on the sun roof. It really bothers me having to hold the switch to open or close it. Ideally, I'd like it to work similar to the windows. One click back opens to vent position. A second quick click opens all the way, longer hold opens until you let off. Same in reverse. One quick click forward closes to vent position. Long hold closes until you let off.

I did some searching, but couldn't find anything. Has anyone made such a mod? If not, your thoughts on if & how the similar function for the window could be made to work. Thanks,

Ken

I had a 2006 MCS, Now with a new Clubman I have the same problem. Sometime progress goes backwards.

I think I have a basic circuit design, scrawlings on a scrap piece of paper kinda thing. So I need to dig around and find the old college books and get down to some calculations. I haven't designed analog circuits like this in probably 15 years.

bxr510 - is your MC a european model? I've found a description in the schematics that seems to indicate the the europeans don't need to have to have a finger on the switch because they aren't as likely to sue because they were stupid enough to stick their arm up while the roof is closing.
